Item 090309 "Lone Star" is made of Texas Mesquite. The Lone
Star pattern represents a Texas Ranger Badge and is made the same size
as the Mexican Cinco Peso coin traditionally used to make Rangers'
badges. The badge was hand carved and inset into the lid.
Mesquite frequently has bark inclusions, cracks and other defects and
these were left unfilled to retain its natural character. Spanish Cedar lined with no
tray. |
